S9300 switch software upgrade caused FTP failed in transfer files bigger than 1M files

Issue Description

Feedback new network of S9300 switch FTP file will be automatically interrupted at about 1M

Handling Process

  1. After analysis, FTP protocol configured speed limit, check the device configuration has no speed limit, while customers sometimes display will reflect interruption phenomenon,

    2. Analysis of results is a device made of TCP speed limit, compared to S9300 old and new network device configuration, customers in accordance with old S93 old configuration Pasted CPU-defend configuration

    3. But in the V2R1 version of “auto-defend protocol arp icmp dhcp” command format change, the user directly configured “auto-defend protocol all”.

    4. As a result, TCP and telnet both got speed limit. Because FTP uses the TCP protocol to transfer files resulting FTP is limited to the size of 1m.

    5. Modify the configuration undo the wrong configuration.

Root Cause

In the new version of network dive is not the same as a result of lead paste commands are converted Configuration does not take effect, and does not carefully check the configuration. Caused specific configuration produces the speed limit in the cpu-defend configuration, when configuring issued is “auto-defend protocol all”
Then follows buildrun which generates “auto-defend protocol tcp“ configuration causes for transmission using tcp protocol ftp speed limit.

Solution

Do the following script configuration in CPU-defend policy:

cpu-defend policy sdyd-fh-main
undo  auto-defend  protocol  tcp
undo  auto-defend  protocol  tel net
undo auto-defend protocol  ttl-expired
undo  auto-defend  protocol  igmp
q
cpu-defend policy sdyd-fh
undo  auto-defend  protocol  tcp
undo  auto-defend  protocol  tel net
undo auto-defend protocol  ttl-expired
undo  auto-defend  protocol  igmp

Suggestions

Recommended for device version upgrade, must pay attention to the configuration which cannot be done under normal and paste, double check configuration before and after.
