Procedure

l   Obtain the XXXX hot patch version description file.

l   Obtain the related release notes and check whether the version of the board software to which the patch is applicable is the same as the actual version of the board software.

To query the NE software version, run the :ver; command.

To query the board software version, run the :cfg-get-bdverinfo:bid; command.

l   Check whether the board type for the patch matches the actual board type.

To query the board type, run the :cfg-get-phybd; command.

1.1 Upgrade Notes for Versions

This document applies to upgrading a V200R013C00 NE.

1.2 Upgrade Methods

1.2.1 Hot Patch Package

The Huawei OptiX NG-SDH products of V100R008 and later versions support the hot patch package function, and support the DC of the V200R008C00 or later versions.

The hot patch package, which is of the NE level, is added to the OSP V100R010 (corresponding to the OptiX NG-SDH V100R008 and later versions). The hot patch package description file (PKG) forms a logical package, and therefore patches can be installed on all the boards on an NE.

1.2.2 Patch Upgrade Method

In the case of the optical network products, you can use the following methods to perform a patch upgrade:

l   Hot patch package loading.

Board-level hot patch loading: This document mainly describes the hot patch package loading by using the DC tool.
